J N Tools offers a range of Circular Form Tools of all types and forms. These are made in high speed steel, solid carbide and brazed carbide depending upon application and machine condition. One could use higher spindle speed and feed with OD and ID solid carbide tools combination. This combination offers good surface finish and 3-4 times tool life when compared with similar HSS tools. Cycle time of around 9 seconds could achieved by combination of solid carbide OD and ID tools. Machine condition and slide rigidity plays important role in selection of solid carbide or HSS tools, with poor machine condition leading to chipping of cutting edges. Benefits of solid carbide tools are far more than that of HSS tools for high volume production and cost per piece of these tools is very low.
