Blasting System for Roll Etching

  • The machine is based on pressure blasting principle. In this machine two nos rotating station (two headstock and tailstock arrangement) is there on which the Rolls are placed. You may put one big roll of 6 mtr or two nos small roll of 3 mtr length. The rotating station will have chuck and tailstock type system on which the job is placed and rotates.
  • The Job loading and unloading will be done from the Top ,this reduces overall space requirement of machine. The machine is equipped with Nozzle reciprocation system (VFD controlled). Two No. of nozzle will move forward and backward on two blasting station by motorized Carriage Trolley arrangement through lead-screw/Chain sprocket type system. Encoders will be provided to control the stroke length of the reciprocation system through HMI/control panel as shown in GA drawing. 
  • The Roll will rotate on its axis (VFD controlled drive) and the Nozzle by the reciprocating arrangements will move forward and backward and clean the Roll uniformly from outer periphery. At a time 2 nos Roll of 3 mtr length can blast at two stations. 
  • The spent abrasive is collected in bottom hopper of the cabinet from where it will falls down into the screw conveyor unit, where it is conveyed by longitudinal screw conveyors. The screw conveyor conveys the abrasive media into boot of bucket elevator. The bucket elevator lifts the media and pours into Air Wash media separation unit from where the reusable abrasive goes into the blast generator and Abrasive is recycled through blast nozzle. For filling the media into the blast generator mushroom valve is opened, the abrasive will get transferred to blast generator. For opening the mushroom valve blast generator will be de- pressurized for moment. The mushroom valve gets closed when compressed air is switched on and abrasive storage tank gets pressurized, for free fall of abrasive into mixing tube. From mixing tube the abrasive is carried away by compressed air to the nozzle for blasting. A sufficient capacity of Dust collector is incorporated to suck the dust produced in the blast chamber and keep the chamber and environment clean.
