- These abrasion testing machine, conforms to specifications and tolerance in accordance to IS 2386 part IV, for determination of resistance to wear by small size coarse aggregate and crushed rock
- The machine consists of a hollow drum mounted on a sturdy frame on ball bearing; detachable shelf which extends throughout the inside length of the drum catches the abrasive charges and does not allow to fall on the cover
- The drum is rotated at a speed of 30-33 rpm by an electric motor through a heavy-duty gear; motor is suitable for operation on 440 volts, three phase AC supply
- Complete with abrasive charges consists of 12 hardened steel/cast iron spheres approx 48 mm diameter and weighing between 390 to 445 gm.
