Mitsubishi, a Singapore-based company, manufactures MH chip breaker suitable for high speed machining. This stable cutting-edge chip breaker improves cutting-edge strength, prevents chipping and eliminates unpredictable fracturing. Combination of spherical and trapezoid dots of the product gives insert seating stability and excellent chip disposal. Combined with UC6010, it facilitates high wear resistance. This is a stable chip control for small depth of cut and high feed machining. It avoids the entwining of chips around the workpiece. The cutting speed varies from 140 to 200 m/min depending upon the workpiece used. It uses wet and dry cutting fluids. This chip breaker reduces the number of adjustments to obtain the required workpiece tolerance thus improving cutting efficiency. This breaker results in low cutting noise, minimises the amount of burr on the workpiece and doubles the tool life.
