Shah Stone Machines manufactures a range of stone cutting and polishing machines. It offers a Stone Splitting Machine, Model STP-II/4/1200. This is an automatic conveyor-type machine, ideally suited for continuous and accurate stripping of slabs of all varieties of natural stones, marble and granite. The stripping is achieved with diamond impregnated circular saws mounted on the spindles. Safety features: set of guards and covers for operator protection; cutter guards made of special aluminium alloy; overload relays for each motor; and provision of current limit for conveyor drive. Technical data: spindle power –5 HP (3.75 kW); total power – 24 HP (18 kW); max saw diameter – 350 mm; slab thickness – 10-40 mm; slab length – no restriction; number of spindles – 4; slab width – up to 1250 mm; water flow 2400 – ltr/hr; make-up water – 125 ltr/hr; space required – 5.5 m (L) x 4.5 m (W) x 2.2 m (H); weight – 5 tonnes; and conveyor feed – infinitely variable.
