Power Tiller, Mini Type

The Agro Products Division of Trident Electric has released in the market a multi purpose mini Power Tiller Varun, Model MT 540X A. Driven by a Greaves 5.40 HP diesel engine, Varun has a narrow wheel track width of 18"(450 mm), is 1.68 m long from end to end, and weighs 150 kg. It has two speeds - 800 m/hr (0.8 kmph) suitable for weeding and interculture operations and high speed variable from 5 kmph to 10 kmph for trailer haulage and transportation to and from farm sites. It is designed for use in all row crops having a minimum width of 21 2 feet. Can be used for mechanical weed removal in row crops like sugarcane, cotton, tapioca, tomato, vegetables, vineyards, agro-forestry plantations like teak, casurina, etc. It can also be used for fertiliser pit formation around fruit trees. A 24 tyne rotovator with steel blades mills the soil up to a depth of 5"in one setting. The height can be varied using a depth control tail wheel. The tynes are mounted on a disc for easy change over and the drive to the rotovator is from the centre. Different types of tynes are available for specifc applications. The tiller comes with a host of optional attachments and accessories to suit different uses.
