Plate Heat Exchangers

Dover India offers Plate Heat Exchanger. It is an all-welded plate heat exchanger for high performance industrial applications. It can be manufactured from dissimilar materials when only one side will be exposed to corrosive conditions. It consists of a number of corrugated plates with gaskets placed in grooves along the edge. The adjacent plates come into contact with each other where the ridges meet. During assembly, the channel plates are pressed together in a frame to form a tight and efficient heat exchanger. By combining plates with different angles in the same plate pack, the optimum solution for any heat transfer need can be found. Most Tranter plates are designed to give full flexibility in thermal performance. As they can be turned around in all directions, two PHEs consisting of the same set of plates can be designed for completely different thermal duties. Furthermore, this flexibility allows the manufacturer to design the two sets of channels for different pressure drop. Thus it is possible to handle asymmetrical flows. This is especially useful when only a limited pressure drop is acceptable for one of the media but pressure drop is not a limiting factor for the other. Every plate heat exchanger is tailor made to meet the individual needs of the customer.
