Thermoplastic Polymer ? Polyacetal

Polyacetal is a thermoplastic polymer manufactured by the polymerisation of formaldehyde. It is a highly crystalline thermoplastic, characterised by high tensile strength, stiffness, low coefficient of friction and excellent dimensional stability. This polymer has high mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness and creep resistance, and is resistant against thermal-oxidative degradation. Agpha® polyacetal rods offer a unique combination of properties not available with metals or other plastics. Established in 1981, Agpha Rubber & Plastics specialises in manufacturing round and square rods out of various engineering polymers like polyacetal (both homopolymer and co-polymer), polypropylene ( PPHP and PPCP), HDPE, HMHDPE, polyamide (Nylon 6), etc.. and has a range of more than 30 sizes in round rods starting from 6 mm to 230 mm diameter. The range of extruded products includes welding rods made out of polypropylene and polyethylene of various grades; and black and coloured rods. Characteristics: Fatigue endurance unmatched by other plastics; High tensile strength, stiffness and impact strength; Excellent resistance to moisture, gasoline, lubricants, solvents and many other neutral chemicals; Natural Lubricity; Resilience and Creep resistance; Excellent dimensional stability; and Wide end use temperature range. Applications: used for gears, bushes, sprockets, pulleys, conveyor chains, rollers, washers, seals, engineering components for appliance, electronic, automotive, textile machinery, etc. Sizes manufactured: round – 6 to 140 mm dia (natural and black); and square – 1" x 1" to 2" x 2". Molybdenum disulfide (MOS2) filled grades are manufactured as well.
