Screen Changer

KBM Industries offers an economically-priced, discontinuous operating screen changer which can be used for extrusion pressures up to 5,000 PSI, where short interruptions are acceptable. The screen changer features a round/rectangular, screen changer body heated by external band heaters. Screen changes are performed when the extruder is stopped. The hydraulic unit/hand operated system is engaged to move the screen bearer bolt out of the housing and the contaminated screen is removed. A clean screen is then inserted, and the screen bearer bolt is returned into the housing. It is not necessary to disconnect any adapter flange as part of the operation of this screen changer. The following are the preferred processes for this screen changer types: multi-layer extrusion lines with restricted space for the installation; blow moulding machines; hot melt adhesive filtration; in pipe lines; reprocessing lines; and, tape line/monofilament/extrusion line.
