Round caps are widely used in protection of tool tips, pipe threading, sharp edges of surgical and stationary articles, electronic gadgets and components, cable accessories spark plug tips, etc., from mechanical damages. They are also used for dust and moisture protection of edges during long sea transport. Other applications are making (against painting, plating and surface finishing) packing and safety from sharp edges and corners. Injection moulded caps that are available for few diameters are normally breakable and due to low flexibility do not aptly cover the component. Apart from this, small volumes of different colours, is a painful exercise for both vender and user. Length is again a dimension to be matched with very expensive repeat retooling. All these problems multiply if the volumes are low. Preetham Products has a solution for this with the help of the most versatile dip moulding process where-in 5-65 mm length of any colour cap with diameter ranging from 2 mm to 40 mm in steps of one mm can be supplied in any quantities from 1000 to millions. High volumes can be offered in customised colours or else the popular are red, black, blue and green.
