Polymer Products For Valves

Sarasons Engineering Industries is a manufacturer of high performance PTFE products and the latest in addition to its range is PEEK polymer products. PEEK (which is known as Polyetheretherketone) products are manufactured by injection moulding technique as well compression moulding processes. For valves, the range of PEEK products includes seat rings, seal rings, thrust washers, packing rings, piston and wear rings, star gears, and diaphragms. Important characteristics of PEEK: high temperature performance (continuous use of 260°C temperature); strength, toughness and excellent dimensional stability; chemical resistance (insoluble in all common solvents and being semi-crystalline has excellent resistance to wide range of organic and inorganic liquids); wear resistance (excellent friction and wear properties over a wide range of pressure, velocity, temperature and counter facial roughness); purity (exceptionally low level of ionic extractable and excellent out gassing characteristics); low permeability with better barrier properties; radiation resistance to gamma radiation at high dose levels; low flammability (UL V-O flammability rating down to 1.45 mm); low smoke and toxic gas emission in fire situations; hydrolysis resistance (used for thousands of hours at temperatures 250°C in steam or high pressure water environments without significant degradation); and excellent electrical performance (stable over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies). Products manufactured from PEEK are offered as natural, 30% glass reinforced 30% carbon fibre-reinforced, graphite and PTFE reinforced. The company also offers low cost custom PEEK components compounded with wide range of fillers to met specific demanding applications.
