Polyethylene Sheets

The Supreme Industries offers Polyethylene Sheets, Armour-XL. These cross-linked sheets are of closed cell structure. The unique high-density profile offers the multiple benefits of exceptional resilience, compression strength and impact resistance, besides excellent elasticity, elongation at break and tear resistance. These are also a hygienic, non-toxic, non-polluting and CFC-free. These are resistant to moisture, fungi and chemicals; and are vibration absorbent and abrasion proof. The closed cell structure simultaneously ensures extremely low thermal conductivity, virtually negligible water absorption and transmission, and a high level of buoyancy. Though a cross-linked material, can be easily thermoformed: by either vacuum or compression techniques. In addition, it can be conveniently sliced, slit, perforated, die-cut, laminated and embossed. Applications: for protective sports gear such as pads and gloves, life jackets and trekking rolls; in footwear industry for components like insoles, socks and collars; for gaskets and helmet lining in the automobile industry; for footmats, bathroom mats, double - sided adhesive tapes and other such consumer items; and for demanding military applications such as packing of ammunition, missiles and radar equipment, helmet lining, and materials for protection against extreme temperatures. These are also made a mark in the medical equipment industry, with uses like: shock-proof packing of ECG machines, orthopaedic tools and vaccines; manufacture of hygienic, non-toxic artificial limb components requiring prolonged touch of the human skin; and production of highly sensitive, vibration absorbing ECG sensor knobs.
