Nylon Rods

Nylon thermoplastics are defined by their toughness, low coefficient friction and good abrasion resistance. Using nylon reduces lubrication requirements, improves wear resistance and sound dampening characteristics. Agpha nylon rods are manufactured by the extrusion technique. Some of the outstanding characteristics are as follows: excellent wear resistance, self lubrication and small coefficient of friction, excellent heat resistance, very good impact resistance and toughness, very good shock absorbing properties, good electrical properties, excellent abrasion resistance, good dimensional stability, very good machineability, anticorrosive. Applications: used in bearings, cams, washers, gears, grommets, spindles, nuts and bolts, pulleys, etc. Sizes manufactured: round – 6 mm to 130 mm dia (nylon 6), molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) filled grades are manufactured as well.
