Engineering Plastic – Polysteel

Bhilwara Polymers offers Polysteel, an Engineering Plastic otherwise known as Ultra High Molecular Weight High Density Polyethelene. UHMW HDPE is a new generation engineering plastic, which is prepared with the help of Ziegler catalysts. It is manufactured by compression mould method with heavy presses under the guidance of highly technically qualified personnel. The company offers this highly homogenous and non-welded single block material in sizes 5600 mm long x 515 mm wide x 10 to 130 mm thick. It can also offer any machine part, linear and any other component as per drawings from its full-1edged workshop having qualified technicians. Polysteel UHMW HDPE has a molecular weight range in excess five million, which is approximately ten times higher than that of high molecular weight HDPE. Outstanding properties: abrasion resistance; high energy absorption; meets FDA requirements; impact resistance; self-lubricating; zero water absorption; chemicals resistance; low coefficient of friction; and excellent temperature property.
Polysteel grades:

• Virgin white UHMW PE – as specified
• Ceramic filled UHMW PE – grade specially developed for paper industry by reinforcing high quality micronised surface quoted ceramic fillers and additives to improve dimensional stability, hardness and wear resistance that improves synthetic wire life even in high speeds, recommended in paper industry for use as suction box covers, doctor blades, foil blades, forming boards, centricleaner nozzles, etc.
• Graphite filled UHMW PE – grade developed by alloying special grade of graphite and other additives to improve sliding surface and is suitable for paper industry for suction box covers and other applications where improved co-efficient of friction is required
• Other grades like UV stabilised, anti-static and conductive grades are also available as per customers’ requirements.
