Chemically Etched PTFE

Materials known for non-adhesive properties can be bonded to most other materials by chemically etching one or both sides. Etched PTFE products can be bonded to a wide variety of materials including steel, wood, glass, aluminium, titanium, copper, ceramics and other plastics – in fact any material for which commercial adhesives are made. PTFE opens up a wide variety of new uses including: coverings for – rollers, slides, table tops, laboratory benches, splash guards, sanitary work surfaces, etc., used in handling foodstuff, drugs, plastics, chemicals and similar products; linings for chutes, guide bars, containers, trays, leather, plastic and rubber moulds, tanks, pipes, ducts, hoppers, hoods, mixers, packing and filling machines, glue dispensers, gluing machines, measuring and feeding devices, heat sealing jaws, paint mixes, drums and spray booths, etc. One or both side uniformly chemically etched tapes can be supplied in continuous length.
