Bio-Degradable Plastics

Bio-Degradable Plastics are environment friendly. It disappears without a trace, reduces the build up of methane gas and saves tonnes of valuable landfill space, when thrown into a landfill site. Plastic will degrade, turning harmlessly into CO2 and water, when unfortunately dumped or littered. It leaves behind no harmful by-products. The starch and chemicals result in the chain scission and degradation under the circumstances of moulds or bacteria, which weakens the structure of the polymer. The interaction of the starch and the peroxide produced in the process of natural oxidation results in the breakdown of the plastic molecule and the molecular weight is lessened, and finally it degrades into matter that does no harm to the environment.
