Tata Motors re-enters Thai Market with Inchcape as Commercial Vehicle Distributor

Tata Motors announced the appointment of Inchcape Plc as its distributor for commercial vehicles in Thailand, marking a return to the market after a three-year absence. The company had ceased the sale of its pickup trucks and small commercial vehicles in Thailand in 2020 when it wound up its 100% subsidiary. Despite the hiatus, Tata Motors continued to provide support and services to its customers in the region.

Inchcape's initial offerings in Thailand will include the Tata Super Ace, Tata Ultra T.9, Tata Ultra T.14, and the flagship Tata Prima 5038.S. The company plans to expand its vehicle portfolio to meet the evolving demands of the market.

To support its operations, Inchcape will establish a network of 13 customer touchpoints, covering sales, service, and spare parts distribution, according to Tata Motors.

Tata Motors' commercial vehicles are currently sold in 44 countries, spanning Africa, the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia, South America, and the CIS, among other regions.
