Metalube, a British speciality lubricant manufacturer, exports its products to 80 countries worldwide, including India, and was recently in the news for having been honoured with the Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade. The following interview highlights the company's products and global reach

Metalube, a UK-based manufacturer of specialist industrial lubricants exporting to over 80 countries worldwide, was established in 1989 by its managing director, David Lee. The company is headquartered in Irlam, Manchester, where it has a fully integrated production facility including state-of-the-art laboratories. In September 2011, it established an India office to take advantage of the growing demand for lubrication management in the field of copper and alumunium wire drawing applications. In this interview, Douglas Hunt, the company's commercial director, elaborates about the company's products and strategies and the factors that give it the competitive edge. Hunt has worked in the lubricant industry since 1997. Prior to joining Metalube he worked for ROCOL, a UK-based speciality lubricant company, and finished his time there as International Sales Director. Douglas has also worked for Rawlplug and British Steel.
