Like most success stories, ITL Industries Ltd had a humble beginning. The company was established in 1986 as a commercial tool room to cater to the needs of local industries. The aindustry in India was still in a nascent stage then and demand for metal sawing machines was growing rapidly. ITL emerged as the sole manufacturer of India's first complete, indigenously designed and developed high speed double column bandsaw machine to address this growing demand. Today, the company offers 60 different models of bandsaw machines ranging from 100 mm to 1500 mm cutting capacity with manual, semi automatic, automatic and fourth generation CNC versions.

In 1996, ITL joined hands with Kasto Maschinenfabrik GmbH Germany to manufacture state-of-the-art high speed power hacksaw machines in India, with a buy back arrangement. Three models of Kasto Sawing Machines are presently manufactured in India, with cutting capacities 250, 280 and 400 mm dia, as per Kasto technology.

In the meanwhile, the company had also begun a foray into the business of manufacturing tube and pipe making equipments and solutions, the division headed by an expert technical team having a vast experience of this field. In the year 1999, ITL took over the tube/pipe manufacturing division of M/s Dewas Tools Ltd, and ventured into a complete new segment of machine manufacturing for tube and pipe production. It also started manufacturing tube swaging machines, pointing machines, straightening machines, draw benches, fly cut-off, accumulators, etc. Today, the company provides a single point service, a one-stop responsibility centre for setting up an entire tube manufacturing plant. It can undertake total turnkey projects for setting up the entire tube production line.

In the year 2003, ITL achieved yet another milestone by associating with India's leading pipe and tube production equipment making company M/s Technomac Engineers, Ghaziabad, headed by Mr C P Gupta. To provide complete solutions to customers, the company ventured into manufacturing of equipments like slitting machines, cut-to-length lines, end facing and chamfering machines, high pressure hydro testers, pipe threading machines, galvanising plants, etc, and even started taking up green field projects on entire turnkey basis.

The key strength by which ITL stands apart is a focused improvement in the pipes' surface quality and accuracy along-with high productivity of the equipments. This could be achieved only with the help of the best and unmatched technical expertise available in the country.
