Over 450 countries are expected to participate in IMS 2014 and EMMA Expo fairs in Bangalore

The Manufacturing Industry overall is looking good with new government taking over the charge and several policy measures underway, like the FDI in defence manufacturing is a welcome move, according to Yajnanarayana Kammaje, Chairman, IMS, Organising Committee. He made this observation while speaking at a preview event on India Manufacturing Show - 2014, India's premier manufacturing show to be held from 11-13 September 2014, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bangalore.

Further, Mr Kammaje said, "Also with a good practical budget, there is a marked positive change in the overall sentiments, there is an upswing in the industry, key user industries such as the Automobile, Electronics & Information Technology, Energy & Environment, Infrastructure, Auto & Components and Aerospace are set to fuel the growth of Indian Manufacturing industry".

Organised by the IMS Foundation and Laghu Udyog Bharati, IMS 2014 is an exclusive business-to-business exhibition, the single largest convergence of the best talent from the manufacturing and engineering industries across the globe. The 2014 edition of IMS is a greatly expanded fair with many special programmes and sessions planned especially for the student community, which would help in creating job opportunities for the nation. A concurrent show EMMA EXPO INDIA, the 8th in the series, will bring the best of Taiwan to India, bringing the fullest product line-up in the areas of Electronics, Machinery, Moulds and Auto.

Innovation Pavilion

This year, IMS will kick off a new campaign for students to cultivate an interest in Indian Manufacturing & Engineering. IMS will start a nation-wide search for noteworthy innovations from the student community, which will encourage out of the box application of engineering skills through demonstrations of a working model covering the spectrum of manufacturing. The same will be displayed and awarded at the exhibition.

Aspiring Entrepreneurs

The objective of this session is to engage budding students and enthuse them about the importance of the manufacturing sector in particular in a bid to highlight the strong connection between this sector & its implications for Nation building.

Vendor Development Programme

The objective of Vendor Development Program is to develop SME's as competitive manufacturers and suppliers of components required by large industries for local & overseas market through international linkages. IMS will invite large corporate for the same.

HR Connect

IMS 2014 will conduct a "HR Connect" which would act as a bridge between Human Resources team and aspiring professionals / students who look forward to be a part of an esteemed organisation.
