The new series of Oil-free High Pressure Water Cooled Air Compressors is prompted by the demand for high capacity machines

With growth in packaging industry using polymer containers in food application, cosmetics, PET bottles, containers for home care/cosmetic products, food products, pharmaceutical products, pharmaceutical industries and other so many applications, machinery manufacturers for container/bottle production have been coming up with higher capacity machines. This has prompted Indo Air to come out with its IAH series high pressure, water cooled oil-free compressors.

IAH series compressors are available from 40 HP to 150 HP capacities for an output ranging from 110 CFM to 350 CFM at 35 to 40 bar pressure. The high pressure meets the demand of the container/bottle manufacturing; the higher air outputs take care of the production quantity of the container/bottle machinery and the oil-free compressors ensures that the containers produced using Indo-Air IAH series compressors have the food packaging quality requirement. Oil-free air also saves the investment on other ancillaries like filter chains which is a must in the case of air out of oil lubricated compressors, and again the filters do not ensure 100 per cent oil free air.

IAH Series Compressor Package

IAH series high pressure compressor package is a complete unit ready to install, easy to commission, user friendly to operate, easy to maintain and extremely reliable package. The package comprises of state-of-the-art horizontal balanced opposed reciprocating water-cooled air compressor, in three stages. The total package includes water cooled heat exchangers for all three stages, water separator units, drive motor and starters, v-belt drive system, interconnecting air and water piping, cabling, etc. The complete package is mounted on Anti-Vibration Mounts (AVM) supplied with the compressor, which reduce the vibrations from being transmitted to the floor, hence eliminating elaborate civil foundation. The entire compressor is enclosed in a sound proof canopy to ensure a noise-level below 75 Db.

The compressor is operated and controlled through Indo-Numeric PLC based control system software to control the compressor and user friendly touch screen MMI (man machine interface) to modify the parameters. The system monitors, regulates, makes error diagnosis and displays warning signals both visual and audible, displays status warning indication thus ensuring prevention of potential damages to the equipment and service warning signals to indicate oil filter/air filter change, other service requirement, etc. The provision of auto shut down ensures shutting down of the compressors in case of abnormal parameters to ensure damage prevention.

User-friendly Display Pages of Control

The display pages are designed to keep the pages to the minimum and also to take care of the easiness of understanding and modification of the parameters by the operator, production supervisors and the maintenance engineers. The following gives some typical page displays. The two page displays show the compressor while on 'load' condition when compressor produces compressed air and in the 'unload' condition when the demand for air from the compressor is absent. 

With the alarm display page showing the cause of the stoppage of the compressor it becomes easier for the service/maintenance personnel to attend to the fault and rectify the compressor.The IAH series compressors come with the regular 1-year warranty for the defective material or workmanship, and are backed by prompt service within 24 hours of breakdown report. The Indo-Numeric control of the compressors has a special feature of port to connect to the computer and through internet the service team can troubleshoot the defect from its office.
