ZF, the market leader for Driveline Technology for Electric Counterbalance Fork lifts has further optimised its products. The EPS3 electro-mechanical steering system will soon be replacing hydrostatic steering systems for front driven counterbalance forklifts. Main advantages are: low energy consumption; and new dynamic safety functions.

Now, ISRA VISION is introducing SHAPESCAN3D, a 3D robot vision sensor with even more technological improvements. The designers of Ziehl-Abegg have been observing many creatures whose bodies are optimised for water- or air flow. The engineers were struck by the quietest of the birds of prey - the owl, which has inspired the design of the bio-fan. The bionic bio-fan cuts down noise, uses less electricity and reduces CO2 emissions in several ways.

This evolutionary design can use, for example, in refrigeration engineering (refrigeration chain to the supermarket), in heaters, heat-pumps and for electrical cooling (computer centres, control cabinet cooling, inverter cooling). In keeping with its sustainable concept, the fan is 100 per cent recyclable, thus minimising the CO2-footprint.
