MACHT Technologies (P) Ltd, a precision engineering company based in Ghaziabad, India, was founded by a father and son Team of Technocrats, 20 years back in the year 1994. The idea was to provide engineering solutions to the automobile and precision engineering industry in fields of special machines, spindles and slides, jigs and fixtures gauges, etc.

The core strength of MACHT is the technical experience of both its directors who have very rich experience in Automotive and Machine Tool industry. Both have been trained in Germany with companies of world repute in Machine Tool Building, they are conversant with International Standards and are fluent in English and German Language.

Today MACHT has 3 Main Business Divisions, namely:

• Machine Tool Division
• Automation Division, and
• Precision Manufacturing Division.

Machine Tool Division

In 1997 a Special Purpose Machines Division was started within the company to provide innovative solutions in machining. So far more than 250 machines manufactured by this division are running successfully at various customers' shopfloors. The main thrust in Machine Development is:

• Design machines that are simple to build, operate and maintain
• Achieve quality beyond customer's expectations
• Minimise set-up time and improve productivity, and
• Provide low cost machine automation thereby increasing efficiency of the machine.

• 3 axes CNC Cage Pocket Milling machine for Bearing Cages
• 4 axes CNC Slotting Machine for Piston Rings
• Multi Operation Machines
• Multi axes CNC End Facing Machine with Linear Gantry Auto Loading/Unloading, and
• Multi axes CNC Oil Hole Drilling Machine for Piston Rings with Auto Loading/Unloading.

"Made to Order CNC Machines"

In the year 2011 the company decided to develop its own range of CNC machines and after a market survey, realised that even though there are many manufacturers of standard machines, there was a need for something "More". Having been in the Specials Business for the last 18 years, the company understands that every customer/component has unique needs; hence the decision to launch a "Made to Order" Turning Program. The design of these machines is based on the Modular Concept so as to impart flexibility to take on variety of components as well as build machines based on the customer or their components specific requirements. Each machine is designed to suit a family of components, based on their size, accuracy as well as the productivity required.

The "Made to Order" Turning Machines Product Program includes:

• End turning for shafts (with centring facing and clamping diameter generation)
• Middle drive CNC lathes with multi axes for simultaneous machining of shafts
• Single spindle lathes (horizontal or vertical)
• Multi spindle CNC lathes, and
• CNC lathe based on MT-15 platform.

Philosophy behind the Turning Program

The rationale behind developing machines is to have a good Chip Producing Capacity in a machine that is rigid and accurate enough to perform in the toughest of conditions. With CNC lathe MT-15, the company believes it has developed a workhorse with toughness and precision to match. The MT 15 prototype was installed in its own Precision Manufacturing Division where it is running successfully ever since. After having studied its performance MACHT commissioned its Team to develop yet another Model CNC MT 15s, which is as the name denotes is a machine with smaller footprint but still true to its pedigree, it "packs quite a punch" and is in no way less in either sturdiness or performance than MT 15. Since 2013, 2 units of CNC MT 15s are being used in its own Precision Manufacturing Division for exports.

MACHT machines are all 'automation ready' and these can provide Auto Loading/Unloading with ease, which is where the future lies. After having tested the machines in its own Manufacturing Division for over 3 years and convinced of their built and quality, the company now offers not only its Standard CNC turning centres, but also state-of-the-art "Made to Order CNC Machines" to the customers.

Automation Division: "When the Need is to Create More from Less"

The rising demand on production has put pressure on the process engineers to increase productivity. However once the optimisation of a manufacturing process has been achieved the only way create more from less is to minimise idle times and improve production efficiency.

Automation increases machine utilisation thereby increasing overall efficiency of the process.

MACHT Technologies has developed its own range of Linear Gantry Robots, with payloads from 5 kg to 80 kg. The Linear Robots can be equipped with variety of Control Systems, viz., the PLC/CNC/motion controller.

Today MACHT is equipped to provide solutions in Automation to its customers in:

• Machine Loading/Unloading
• Transfer Line Integrations
• Palletization
• Auto Gauging Systems for and in post process inspection
• Welding Automation
• Forging Automation, and
• Foundry Applications

The Automation Division also provides Vertical Articulated Arm or Horizontal Articulated Arm Robots to for automation solutions such as auto pouring in gravity die casting machines, welding, laser solutions, etc

Precision Manufacturing Division

In year 2005-2006 MACHT began exporting precision machined parts to companies of world repute in Germany and formed a Precision Manufacturing Division. This division is primarily into manufacturing of components meant for export market. Advantages include:

Promoters have worked in high precision/high productive environment, hence are aware of the requirements of the industry

• MACHT has an engineering pool which supports the precision parts division be it in process selection or fixtures gauges design and/or maintenance of machines
• MACHT's Machine Tool Division produces CNC machines to suit the requirements based on quality and productivity
• MACHT produces its own fixtures and gauges in its captive tool room hence the fixtures gauges and critical spares can never be a bottle neck, and
• As the company is in exports to Germany, the quality systems are already been placed to suit high precision production.

Today MACHT serves the specialised needs of the Indian industry with its range of products and services. Major customers include reputed companies like Suzuki, Honda, Escorts, Hero, Shriram, Eicher, Harley Davidson, Scheck Rotec, and many others.
