ELECRAMA 2020: Electrifying growth of power sector

With over 1250 exhibitors, ELECRAMA 2020 – to be held from January 18-22 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida - can be considered as the largest congregation of power sector ecosystem in the geography. The event, which brings together the complete spectrum of solutions that powers the planet from source to socket and everything in between, will surely power the growth of Indian economy.

Attracted by India’s more than a billion consumers, domestic demand for electronic goods and rising disposable income levels, global giants have either set up or in the process of building manufacturing plants in the country. With India expected to become the fifth largest manufacturing country in the world by the end of year 2020, ELECRAMA is all set to enthrall the international electrical and electronic industry fraternity with latest products and technologies on the display.

Organised by Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA), the biennial event offers an ideal platform for deliberation with the industry leaders through knowledge sharing and networking by way of one to one meetings, conferences and seminars. These will create opportunities for the Indian manufacturers to step up the pedal and grab world market share and establish themselves in the global scenario.

Every edition of ELECRAMA aims to provide an excellent opportunity to Indian manufacturers to display their products and technologies & manufacturing capabilities to a global audience who are on the lookout to engage with the highly buoyant Indian electrical industry for future tie-ups. With more and more electrical equipment installed in the country being manufactured indigenously, the mature Indian electrical manufacturing fraternity is now increasingly looking outwards to grow exports as a huge opportunity exists.

A plethora of opportunity ELECRAMA Expo 2020 is a platform to link the world to Indian business with regards to technology, new trends, and innovation for the long run energy transition. World Utility Summit (WUS), e-TechNxt, and buildELEC will be hosted concurrently with the expo.

The theme of the WUS 2020, scheduled from January 20-21, is Utility Next. There is an immediate need for utilities to evaluate how the provision and consumption of energy service would happen in future. Through WUS-2020 all participating power utilities (both public and private) can showcase best practices or unique achievements through poster sessions.

E-TechNxt is a leading platform of industry, policymakers & stakeholders that promotes forward looking actions on "NXT" technologies in the "electrification domain". E-mobility, energy storage and several other areas are dynamically changing the opportunity matrix for the electrical & electronics industry. India is moving towards becoming a $ 5 trillion economy. The challenge of blending technology with innovative business models is real. E-TechNxt by IEEMA is the platform which enables the electrical & electronics industry to re-define its business transformation trajectory by leveraging together diverse next generation technologies at ELECRAMA 2020.

BuildELEC is a unique exposition on building electrical systems. As the defining event for electrically smart and safe buildings, this specialised exhibition on building electrical systems is themed H3O, focusing on homes, hospitals, hotels and offices and showcase energy efficiency, fire safety, building automation, IoT and smart security solutions, to make industrial, commercial and residential buildings, more efficient and safe.

The demand for electrical equipment in India is expected to witness a significant expansion
on the back of the growth of the power sector. By 2022, domestic demand for generation equipment industry is expected to be between $25-30 billion. For T&D industry,
it is estimated to be between $70-75 billion.

Expanding from the traditional power transmission and distribution domain to cover the complete electricity ecosystem, ELECRAMA today is uniquely positioned to offer growth opportunity for everybody in the power industry ecosystem.

Projections for ELECRAMA 2020:
