With the recent acquisition of Latexx Partners Berhad in Malaysia, Semperit has become one of the largest producers of gloves in the world today. In conveyor belts, Semperit retains the leadership position in the country in terms of product quality, range and most preferred vendor status with customers like TISCO, NTPC, various steel plants, cement units, etc. In escalator handrail business, Semperit continues to enjoy the market leader status.

The Division Semperflex continued to do a robust business, successfully utilising over 80 million capacity in hydraulic hoses and maintaining the leadership position in the bulk hose supplier category worldwide. Although the market conditions remained sluggish in India, addition of new customers helped to retain the desired sales volumes. During this year new OEM and institutional customers were added, improving the market share in this segment.

New products like, concrete pumping hose, shotcrete hose, OSD, sewer jetting and waste water collection (S&D) were launched in the Indian market. The high abrasion resistant products remained the most preferred in the Industrial hose segment. In the hydraulic hose segment, compact hose sales increased as more customers preferred using such hoses for tighter routing applications, higher pressure and impulse requirements. In spite of the stiff exchange rate impact on pricing, Semperit continued to support the market with its optimum pricing strategy without any compromise in product standards. Semperit products are considered to be one of the most consistent hose by the customers.
