HCLFoundation, the organisation responsible for HCLTech's corporate social responsibility initiatives in India, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Stanley Black & Decker, a global leader in tools and outdoor powered equipment. The partnership aims to provide skills training to Indian youth, enhancing their employability in the manufacturing sector.

Under this collaboration, Stanley Black & Decker will establish training and development hubs at two government-run industrial training institutes (ITIs): ITI Morwadi in Pune and ITI Guindy in Chennai. HCLFoundation will implement a power tools skill development program at these institutes. The initiative is expected to benefit approximately 1,000 young individuals annually. Additionally, the program will offer advanced training to ITI trainers, aligning their skills with the latest market technologies. Various industry outreach activities, technical guest lectures, job fairs, and health camps will also be organised.

Dr Nidhi Pundhir, Vice President of Global CSR at HCLFoundation, emphasised the mission to equip young people and the industrial workforce with job-ready skills, supporting the growth of India's manufacturing sector. She highlighted the collaborative effort between HCLFoundation and Stanley Black & Decker, expressing confidence in the positive impact this initiative will have on countless lives and careers.

Sunil Krish, Director of Manufacturing at Stanley Black and Decker India Pvt. Ltd., expressed pride in contributing to this endeavor. He emphasised that the initiative goes beyond skill development, focusing on enhancing safety practices and industry efficiency.
