Adani Energy partners with Esyasoft for global smart metering ventures

The announcement also underscores the growing relationship between Adani and Abu Dhabi's International Holding Co, a significant shareholder in Esyasoft through its subsidiary, Sirius International Holdings.
In a significant move to advance smart metering projects in India and globally, Adani Transmission Step-Four, a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, has partnered with Esyasoft Holdings from the UAE. According to an exchange filing, Adani Group will hold a 49% stake in the joint venture, with Esyasoft owning the remaining 51%. The board of directors will have equal representation from both entities.
This collaboration signifies a crucial step as they plan to jointly bid for and implement smart metering projects in both Indian and global markets. With around 100 experts strategically located in India, the UAE, the UK, and KSA, the joint venture is well-positioned to serve major Indian discoms, Scottish Gas, and key UAE-based utilities such as FEWA, DEWA, SEWA, and ADDC.
The announcement also underscores the growing relationship between Adani and Abu Dhabi's International Holding Co, a significant shareholder in Esyasoft through its subsidiary, Sirius International Holdings.
Kandarp Patel, CEO at Adani Energy Solutions, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, "The joint venture will provide critical and integrated solutions for the seamless national rollout of our smart metering business. Besides giving us a strong execution edge locally, the JV will open up new opportunities in international geographies where the smart metering concept is gaining traction, and we will aggressively pursue such prospects."
