Macpower CNC Machines signs Rs 100 cr MoU with Gujarat

During the pre-VGGIS 2024 event held on October 16 and 17 last year near Rajkot in Shapar-Veraval, Macpower CNC Machines, a Rajkot-based private firm specialising in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) worth Rs 100 crore with the Gujarat government as part of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors' Summit (VGGIS) 2024. The signing ceremony was overseen by Gujarat Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel, who also serves as the guardian minister of Rajkot.

The allocated funds from the MoU will be directed towards establishing a facility dedicated to the production of CNC machines. These machines, in turn, will be utilized for manufacturing components for aerospace and defence equipment. CNC machines, which operate based on computer numeric control, play a crucial role in various manufacturing applications, providing precision in tasks such as cutting, grinding, turning, and milling for the production of parts used across different sectors.

Rupesh Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director (MD) of Macpower, highlighted their unique position as one of the few vendors in India authorized to manufacture defence and aerospace parts. Currently, the company provides CNC machines, technical expertise, and training to enterprises engaged in the production of defence and aerospace goods. With the capability and expertise to manufacture tailor-made machines for these sectors, Macpower has entered into this strategic MoU with the Gujarat government.
