Tool manufacturer Boehlerit is launching a new and revolutionary face milling system KAPPAtec 55N, into the market. The innovative product is characterised by its stability, efficiency and effective cutting results and is ideal for machining common steel, stainless steel and cast iron materials. The Boehlerit  face milling system offers a diameter range from 80 mm for Z04 to 315 mm for Z16 and comprises three  different geometries (RK, MP, MM), which guarantee optimum machining results. The proven Boehlerit cutting material grades, including coarse and fine grain substrates as well as high-performance coatings for cast iron and stainless steel machining, guarantee the highest quality and durability. 

A significant advantage of the face milling system is the ability to achieve high cutting depths of up to 9.5 mm, depending on the geometry of the indexable insert. Thanks to a special clamping screw (disc screw); changing the indexable inserts is simple and convenient, resulting in improved handling. Compared to the competition, the Boehlerit KAPPAtec 55N face milling system is characterised by a more stable design and a shim plate to reduce vibration and protect the insert seat in the event of insert breakage. The unequal spacing of the system contributes to a further reduction in vibrations and smooth machining. With a total of 10 cutting edges per indexable insert, the KAPPAtec 55N face milling system is extremely economical and enables cost effective machining of workpieces in the field of medium and heavy-duty cutting.
