Mohini is one of the few early Lady Production Engineers in India. After working in PMT for couple of years, she started business of manufacturing machines in 1984 in a garage. Her company Grind Master (GM) is now a global technology leader in specialised turnkey machines for metal finishing, deburring, microfinishing, robotic machines and abrasives, providing total solutions for surface finishing requirements.

With over 5500 machines across 6 continents, serving a wide range of industries, the company brings a world of experience of over 35 years in machine technology & process knowledge.

In her leadership, Grind Master Group operates with 6 integrated factories and 3 R&D Centres across the globe. GM Group companies in India, China, France and USA constantly strive to exceed customer expectations with innovative & trustworthy solutions created with passion and expertise.

“This whole journey was interesting and my role went on changing from designing to sales & marketing to heading some of our business verticals and now in business development activity,” says Mohini Kelkar.

Mohini Kelkar discloses, “Robotic machining technologies is a major thrust area for us. We have recently created separate business unit for robotic machines at our new facility in Aurangabad, India. International markets including Americas, Europe and East Asia are new fast growing areas for our developed range of machines and robotic machines. After acquiring a company in France last year, we have started sales and support office in Michigan USA. These steps will strengthen our presence globally.”

Kelkar adds, "We as a company have been successful as we somehow have overcome the challenges that we have faced over the years.
