TAYPRO has introduced a Movable Docking Station (MDS), a battery-powered solution that enables autonomous mobility for solar panel cleaning robots, improving robot utilisation and enabling energy-efficient operations across solar arrays.
TAYPRO has launched a Movable Docking Station (MDS), introducing autonomous mobility to solar panel cleaning robots. Known for its advanced solar panel cleaning robot technology, the brand has developed the battery-powered system to enable uninterrupted and energy-efficient operations across solar installations.
The docking station is designed to improve robot utilisation across multiple solar arrays by transferring cleaning robots from one solar panel row to another using end-mounted railing tracks. The system enables automatic movement of robots between panel rows and operates along precision-aligned railing tracks installed at the ends of solar panel rows.
The Movable Docking Station operates through a self-sustaining power system supported by an integrated solar panel-based battery charging setup. Integrated sensors align the docking station accurately with panel rows and automatically dock or undock cleaning robots using a secure locking mechanism. One of the key advantages of the system is its ease of installation, as it does not require any modifications to the solar panels, allowing for a quick and modular deployment.
The Movable Docking Station also features a fully integrated remote monitoring platform that allows operators to schedule movements and track the system’s position. Edge detection sensors help prevent derailment and ensure that robots remain securely held and operational even in high wind zones.
The railing system is supported by columns that are fixed to the ground through reinforced concrete foundations or ballast systems depending on site conditions. Maintenance alerts and fault diagnostics are enabled through a cloud-based system, allowing maintenance activities to be carried out at scheduled intervals to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal operational life.
