The company serves a wide range of industries across various applications and has clocked growth of 15 per cent YoY.

How is your company contributing to the growth of the Indian manufacturing sector?

Plastics Industry is a big contributor to the Indian GDP and economy. It is one of the fastest growing industries in India which has varied applications across sectors be it automobile, medical, packaging, agriculture, white goods, electronics, etc. Our products provide automation and technological solutions to plastic processors that help them increase productivity, improve quality and reduce cost. This in turn benefits the Indian manufacturing sector as a whole.

What kinds of emerging trends are you observing in the industry today?

Plastics industry is also undergoing a lot of advancement just like all other industries. Focus on sustainability is driving demand for products that are energy efficient and environment friendly. Also the focus is on new emerging trends such as Industry 4.0, remote monitoring, cloud based systems, etc.

Companies across industries are emphasising on sustainability. How is your company (with your products, technologies, solutions, services, etc) helping them meet their sustainability goals?

Nu-Vu Conair is a value driven organisation that has always believed in providing solutions that are inclusive and beneficial for all. Our products undergo regular upgrades and advancements to provide maximum efficiency with minimum environment footprint. Our energy efficient technology helps plastic processors cut their energy expenses, improve cycle time and improve quality. This helps our customers to achieve maximum output with lowest possible cost.

Could you please highlight on some of the “Green Engineering” solutions offered by you to your customers in the industrial sectors?

To name a few, our Dehumidifying Air Dryer is industry leader in moisture removal and runs on a very energy efficient technology. Our chillers use environment friendly refrigerant that are R410A. Our Adiabatic Cooling Towers reduce water evaporation by using a closed loop system.

Are your customers demanding more eco-friendly/sustainable solutions nowadays?

Yes, customers have certainly become more aware and are inquiring about sustainable products and services. The adoption has already started and with more R&D, the costs will further come down and more companies will be able to incorporate them in their manufacturing processes.

What measures are you taking to reduce your carbon footprint across your manufacturing value chain?

Some of the measures are - designing product that uses less energy, innovative solutions to increasing efficiency and reduce cycle time, optimising processes, selecting right components, educating vendors, awareness drives amongst employees and suppliers, energy saving or reducing features in plant and operation.

Do you think "green" or “sustainability” is an effective brand building tool for companies?

Being a “Green Company” definitely helps your brand image but it is a continuous improvement process that has to be followed diligently. It is not something to be on paper only, all your processes and operations should be synchronised effectively which in turn will reduce your carbon footprint as well as enable you to offer sustainable technology to the market.

How do you plan to scale up your business in the near future?

We already have a new green-field facility coming up right adjacent to our current factory in Ahmedabad. The company’s growth over the years and the demand for our products and services has enabled us to undergo this expansion. We also are targeting other industries apart from Plastics for our Heat Transfer range of products and hope that in coming five years, it will contribute 10-12 per cent of our revenues.
