Budget VMC with 4th axes possibilities for aerospace, auto components & institutes

Shenoy Engg, known for making challenging, conventional SPMs, are now offering low cost VMCs, in-line with the aspirations of current market trend. Component industry and jobbing segments, besieged by fierce competition and bleak future, are unable to invest on high branded, expensive VMCs. Nor can they invest on custom-built SPMs, since there are no long range commitments from their respective OEM customers. Further, SPMs inherently are not easily flexible to adapt themselves to the changes.  These volatile, unfortunate circumstances are the major deterrents in their long term growth and investment plans. Budget VMC is developed and offered to tackle these deterrents. Not only are they highly affordable, but also they are quickly adaptable to dimensional and configurational changes of the new components. Generally, most of the auto and aerospace components are dimensionally small and need a suitably smaller, highly affordable VMC (X axis: 320 mm, Y&Z axes: 250 mm).

 

A smaller machine with smaller strokes, good accuracies, quicker response and smaller price tag will reduce the machining charges. Thus, the running cost shrinks, as smaller footprint results in smaller area and lower fixed overheads. Power requirement is also lower than a standard VMC. When the part gets discontinued, just change the fixture for another part. In addition, with our optionally offered 4th axis rotary table, the possibility of machining is endless. For toy makers, hobbyists, it helps in making models and parts with high precision and good finish. The industrial grade CNC controller with servo motor does not skip steps like stepper motors. This is a no nonsense machine which copes with higher industry standards. No need to compromise on your exalting expectations without making a hole in your pocket. Unconventional horizontal & vertical CNC mills

Apart from Budget VMC, we offer highly cost-effective custom-built, unconventional vertical and horizontal mills, which are ideal for low height, low width, but long work pieces. The cost effectiveness is better illustrated with an example of machining railway track, which needs to machine only 3-4 inches of width and height.  But, because of its length, the customer has no choice but to go for an expensive, massive, double column CNC plano miller. Shenoy Engineering’s innovative, unconventional vertical and horizontal CNC mill, drill machines meet this requirement within an incredibly low investment, without compromising on accuracy and repeatability of a VMC.  The horizontal, unconventional CNC mill, drill machines are virtual substitutes to HMC, floor boring machines and are useful for machining the sectional surfaces of large ‘Y’, ‘U’, ‘C’ angles, machine structurals, etc. Using these unconventional CNC mill, drill SPMs, accurate and 

close pitch bores can be produced in jobs, like gear boxes, turbine housings etc. 

 

Double column CNC plano miller

Till recently, mostly imported double column CNC plano millers were available in India. Shenoy Engg has made double column plano millers as large as 6,000 mm long x 1,500 mm wide, all by themselves – right from design, manufacturing, erection, commissioning and prove out. The geometrical and positioning accuracies, repeatability are comparable with top branded, similar machines. Basic CNC plano miller, with X axis: 3000 x, Y axis: 1800, Z axis: 1,000 mm may cost Rs 78 lakh with Siemens 828D package, but without frills such as scale, enclosure, chip conveyors, ATC etc. The standard, in-built through-coolant arrangement facilitates rapid, close-pitch drilling operations of large plates, using U drills.
