Virtusa Corporation, a leading product and platform engineering services company, has announced the acquisition of SmartSoC Solutions, a Bengaluru-based provider of semiconductor engineering and integrated circuit (IC) design services. The acquisition marks a significant step for Virtusa, expanding its portfolio into the high-growth semiconductor sector and completing its end-to-end service capabilities across the digital technology ecosystem, from silicon to network, cloud, and application layers.

The integration of SmartSoC, with its expertise in silicon design, verification, and embedded systems engineering, positions Virtusa to address rising global demand for advanced silicon driven by digital transformation.

The acquisition establishes Virtusa’s semiconductor engineering footprint in India and strengthens its global delivery model through SmartSoC’s presence in Bengaluru, Hubli, and Hyderabad, including a tier-2 delivery centre in Hubli. More than 1,400 skilled engineers with capabilities in VLSI, physical design, and embedded software join Virtusa, enhancing its ability to deliver scalable, cost-effective engineering services.
