With the slogan “Virtually dust-free sanding”, Bosch is extending its range of abrasives for the first time with the addition of the M480 Net sanding mesh and is also introducing a new multi-hole pad for random orbit sanders at the same time. This system solution means that tradespeople, for example those who machine surfaces in drywall or interior construction, no longer need to perform time-intensive cleaning work after the application. The sanding process is fast and efficient – and also protects your health.

The M480 Net has an open net structure and enables dust extraction across the entire surface in comparison to conventional sanding sheets. Clogging and dust formation on the tool or in the surrounding area are minimized. At the same time, the lifetime of the abrasive is extended and a high material removal rate is ensured. The sanding net is available in a wide range: From random or-bit, orbital, delta and multi-sanders to the hand sanding block – the range of products covers the entire spectrum with corresponding conversion forms. The sanding net is particularly efficient in combination with the new multi-hole pad: Its multi-hole design enables 50 percent higher dust extraction compared to common six to eight-hole standard pads. It is also the only multi-hole pad in the market that is compatible with all common random orbit sanders: It is suitable for all hole patterns and velcro types.

Bosch offers the multi-hole pad for various applications in the versions “hard”, “medium” and “soft”. In conjunction with the M480 Net, the “hard” version is particularly suitable for rapidly machining large, level areas with a high material removal rate, for example wooden stairs or drywall. Paint, filler, plaster and untreated natural timber can also be sanded down efficiently. For an average material removal rate, for example for machining slightly curved surfaces or for intermediate sanding for preparing varnishing, tradespeople can use the “medium” multi-hole pad. The “soft” version is offered for fine sanding, in particular for sanding small areas with delicate shapes and curves. All three system versions make it possible for tradespeople to sand with virtually no dust.

The M480 Net is part of Bosch’s “Best for Wood and Paint” range of accessories and is available in different formats in a pack of five, ten or fifty pads from special retailers.
