Chennai, May 27, 2015: Valeth Group of Industries, one of the leading manufacturers of advanced composite materials and products for space, aerospace, defense, aviation and marine, completed 25 years on the 27th of May, 2015. The last 25 years have seen Valeth graduate from producing important raw materials and components to complete system assembly and end products all under one roof.

A special event was organised to mark this occasion. His Excellency, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, former President of India attended the event as Chief Guest, which was held in Chennai. The event also was attended by directors of some of the most prestigious defense and aerospace organisations in the country. A large audience of employees, representatives of government organisations and industrialists were also present to mark the occasion. Dr Abdul Kalam released a souvenir which chronicles the journey of the company at some length and features articles written by: Mr Peter P Valeth, Chairman and Managing Director, Valeth Group; Mr V K Dixit, Associate Director, ARDE, Pune; Mr K Govindaraju, Retd. Engineer, VSSC, Trivandrum; Mr Shyam Mohan N, Project Director, RLV-TD, VSSC; Dr M R Ajith, Scientist/Engineer 'SG' (AMCD) MMG/MME, VSSC, Trivandrum; and Nitin P Valeth,. Executive Director, Valeth Group.

Continuously engaged in developing and manufacturing high-tech products, Valeth has grown and now has manufacturing units in Chennai and Cochin and is setting up further units in Hyderabad as well as abroad in Bangkok (Thailand). Presently, Valeth's product range extends from composite products for aerospace and defense industries to boat building and micro light aircraft.

Being in a niche market, Valeth has gained some prestigious clients such as, Indian Space Research Organization, many defense R&D organisations, Ordnance Factories, Indian Defense Services, to name a few.

"In the formative years Valeth has gone through difficult periods and through hard work and perseverance, have developed critical facilities and technologies, which speak volumes about their capability," said Shri M C Dathan, Distinguished Scientist and Director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Thiruvananthapuram. He went on to say, "The materials, manufacturing technology and the skilled manpower created by Valeth have played a vital role in the success of ISRO's launch vehicles."
