With Reuters reporting that the UK's manufacturing sector has contracted for the second month running, West Bromwich engineering firm, Tentec, once again bucks the trend by announcing a record-breaking month for orders. In May, this innovative manufacturing company had an order intake of ?1,000,000, a new record for the company. Tentec designs and manufactures bolt tightening equipment for a wide range of industries including the oil and gas, renewable energy and power generation.

"We have seen our turnover steadily increase, despite the recession," says Mike Gethings, Managing Director at Tentec. "By providing our customers with equipment that exactly matches their requirements, delivered on time and on budget, means that we are winning new contracts all the time. We have invested heavily in new equipment, training for existing employees and have taken on new staff to help fulfil our ever-expanding order book." Tentec has also recently expanded its manufacturing facility to cope with the new orders.

In addition to selling direct, Tentec has an extensive network of agents and distributors throughout the world, many of whom will be attending Tentec's first International Distributors' Conference in October. This 3-day event will see more than 50 attendees from as far afield as Russia and China in Birmingham to learn more about Tentec's future plans, exchange ideas on how best to market the equipment and to visit the company's manufacturing facility in West Bromwich.
