Turkey to get two large photovoltaic power plants

Ankara, Turkey, April 2017 – Asunim Yenilenebilir Enerji Teknolojileri ?n?. Müh. San. Tic. Ltd. ?ti., a member of the Asunim group has started construction of two large conglomerate non-licensed photovoltaic power plants for several investors. The systems are in south-western Turkey's Izmir province featuring high irradiation values and stable grid conditions. Asunim gave full support to its customers from day one and obtained preliminary ministry acceptance and go ahead for construction. The systems feature high-efficiency PID free solar modules manufactured by Jinko Solar and very reliable REFUsol 40K string inverters, which operate without the need for fan cooling and with IP65 protection on the complete device against humidity and dust.

Upon grid connection scheduled for Summer 2017, the electricity generation of the two main sites combined will average around 56 GWh/year, avoiding an estimated annual 40,000 tons of CO2 emissions.

Umut Gürbüz, managing partner for Asunim Turkey, underlined: "Our excellent five year track record as EPC and Developer in Turkey shows that we are able to deliver high quality systems within budget and contractual deadlines. We are very proud of having been contracted for these two large projects and will install and maintain these systems in accordance with Turkish law and best industry standards. These systems contribute to consolidate and increase Asunim's considerable references for large scale PV systems."

Frank Niendorf, General Manager of Jinko Solar Europe, comments: "This is another successful project, which we highly appreciate to realise with our reliable partner Asunim and it is one of the biggest projects in Turkey, so far. Asunim is recognized by big investors for their excellent quality standards, which fits perfectly to Jinko Solar's philosophy to offer best-in-class efficiency modules at a competitive value."

Norbert Frings, CEO of REFU Elektronik GmbH, adds: "We are very happy that Asunim relies on our proven, highly efficient REFUsol string inverters for these projects. The product features of our devices fit their requirements perfectly and we will make sure to provide all needed support - both through our local Turkish and German team during installation, commissioning as well as after sales."
