Forklifts are a necessary yet potentially dangerous piece of equipment used in a wide variety of industries. Nearly 100 workers are killed in forklift accidents each year and another 20,000 workers are seriously injured. The Forklift Academy of India conducts training programme for forklift operators. The program complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 and trains forklift operators on best operating practices.

To prevent accidents from occurring, it is recommended that every forklift operator must be properly trained and certified before using the equipment. The 100th workshop on Safe Forklift operations is scheduled from 2nd May 2011. The details of the workshop are as under.

WS-003: One Day Classroom Workshop On Safe Operations and Daily Maintenance of forklift trucks for Experienced but untrained operators.

WS-004: Six Days workshop on Safe operations and Daily Maintenance of forklift trucks for Novices/Freshers. Best suited for School Dropouts/Car/Taxi/Tempo drivers.

Fees: Rs 10000/- (includes Training handouts - Business Lunch and Tea for all six days- Certificate - Free Placement)

Eligibility: Four wheeler License holder; 8th Std School Certificate; and 21 years age and above.
