TCS launches new centre in Patna

Patna, India, May 2017 /PRNewswire/ - Tata Consultancy Services, (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organisation, has set up a Business Process Service (BPS) centre in Patna under the India BPO Promotion Scheme (IBPS), envisaged under Digital India Programme to leverage IT industry's growth to create new opportunities for India's talent and drive inclusive growth.

The TCS centre was inaugurated by Hon'ble Union Minister Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of Law & Justice and Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. The TCS centre in Patna is one of three such BPS centres being set up by TCS; with the other two located at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and Nashik in Maharashtra.

The Business Process Services unit of TCS is among the largest in the country with annual revenues of over USD 2 billion dollars. It works with customers on core-industry specific processes, delivers analytics and insights as well as enterprise services such as finance and accounting, HR and supply chain management. TCS complements its experience and expertise with innovative delivery models such as robotic automation and providing Business Processes as a Service (BPaaS). With four decades of global experience and a delivery footprint spanning six continents, TCS is one of the largest BPS providers globally today.
