Suzlon One Earth, one of the greenest corporate campus projects in the world, recently completed two successful years of operation. A project by Pune's leading Integrated Infrastructure Solutions' provider Synefra Engineering & Construction Ltd - a Tanti Group Company, One Earth was conceived, managed and executed for the Suzlon Group, the world's fifth largest wind turbine manufacturers.

Speaking on the event, Mr Tulsi R Tanti, founder, Chairman and Managing Director, Suzlon Group said: "Suzlon One Earth is one of the most successful green projects in the world. It brings together innovative approaches towards energy efficiency and sustainable infrastructure to make our vision of sustainable development a reality. We are proud that this remarkable facility - ably designed and built by Synefra has become a benchmark not only for corporate India, but for organizations all over the world."

Synefra's integrated approach of project management by creating synergy between architects, designers and engineers has set new benchmarks in areas of human and environmental health, sustainable site development, efficient water management, waste management, renewable energy solutions, materials and resource selection and indoor environmental quality which have been recognised at a global level.

Speaking on the operating efficiencies at Suzlon One Earth, Mr Robin Banerjee, Chief Financial Officer, Suzlon Energy, said: "One Earth has now been our home for the two years, and the infrastructure design has brought in tremendous savings in operating costs - in terms of energy, water, maintenance and waste management. With its integrated design and approach - from human and environmental health, to large scale LED use and 'zero waste' system - the facility is a shining great example which states that green, sustainable development is not only possible, but it is also financially rewarding."

The campus has over the two year period harvested 270 lakh litres of rain water, converted approximately 25,000 kilograms of waste on-site to organic manure, and generated 2.6 lakh units of energy from onsite renewable resources - including wind and solar.

Celebrating the second anniversary of its flagship project, Mr J R Tanti, Managing Director, Synefra E&C said: "Suzlon One Earth is a demonstration of Synefra's innovative and comprehensive energy-efficient solutions - from recycling precious resources to saving energy. It's a matter of great satisfaction for us to see Suzlon One Earth functioning as designed and becoming a truly inspiring place to work. One Earth project is a testament to sustainability in practice and of Synefra's ability to convert a dream to reality. "

Developed in an area of around 11 acres, Suzlon One Earth is one of the largest green building projects in the world with a built up area of over 8,00,000 sq.ft. This technologically advanced structure demonstrates a project governed by sustainable aspects for construction, interiors and operations. Suzlon One Earth is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certified by Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and has '5 Star' ratings by Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA). Additionally, Synefra has also received many national and international acknowledgments including MIPIM Asia Gold and International Property Asia Pacific award.
