Coimbatore-based K U Sodalamuthu & Co Pvt Ltd has won the Regional Award from the Engineering Export Promotion Council in recognition of their achieving highest export performance during the year 2011-12 in the category "Star Performer - Medium Enterprise". The company manufactures and exports paper conversion machinery for the production of paper cones, tubes, edge protectors and pulp moulded products since 1970. Apart from being the market leader in India, it exports to more than 60 countries including USA, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Russia, Egypt, Turkey, South Africa. etc.

Mr P K Kunhali Kutty, Hon'ble Minister for Industries and Information Technology, Government of Kerala was the Chief Guest. The award was given away by Mr Adoor Prakash, Hon'ble Minister for Revenue and Coir, Government of Kerala, at a function held recently at Thiruvananthapuram and the Company's Managing Director Mr K S Balamurugan received it.

The company has been winning the Export Awards consecutively for 20 years.
