'Renergy 2013', the three day expo-cum-conference has kick started at Chennai Trade Centre (CTC), Nandambakkam. Organised by TEDA and supported by MNRE, the key objective of Renergy 2013 is to be a critical platform to take renewable energy growth in India to the next orbit, through awareness creation, practical demonstration and productive interactions between various renewable energy stakeholders. Renergy 2013 has representatives from solar, wind, biomass power, energy efficiency, waste-to-energy and green building.

The exhibition has participation from over 200 companies across the entire renewable energy spectrum. For the first time, this year the conference will have eight workshops, including six on solar. The other sessions include a workshop on grid connected solar rooftops and a session on international clean-tech collaborations.
