Premier Ltd, a pioneer in the Indian Machine Tool and Automobile Industry, participated at EMO - Hannover for the very first time. EMO - Hannover, the world's largest trade fair for metalworking technology was held from 19-24 September 2011. Being present at EMO - Hannover is an absolute must for all manufacturers of production technology aiming to serve customers on the international market to demonstrate their competence, technology, efficiency and capacity.

This year's EMO theme - "More than Machine Tools" completely captured Premier's product portfolio and its design capabilities. The event attracts experts from the entire international manufacturing industry to Hannover with round about 2000 companies from 38 countries showcasing the entire spectrum of their products and services for the metalworking technology. Premier Ltd displayed 2 technologically advanced and competitively priced machines at their stand no. H-18 located in Hall 26.

"We participated in EMO to showcase our technical capabilities; develop strategic marketing and component outsourcing alliances, find R&D subcontractor; and joint manufacturing with international players," says D D Mulherkar, Vice President Machine Tools, Premier Ltd.

Both machines on display at EMO are 5/6-axis CNC Gear Hobbers reflecting advanced technologies, developed in-house, on par with international standards yet very competitively priced. The Premier PHA 250 is technologically suitable for a job shop while the Premier PHC 150 has state-of-the-art technology demanded by the automobile and aerospace industries.

According to the Chairman and Managing Director, Maitreya Doshi, "CNC machines are the sole focus of our company; we are actively looking for domestic and global acquisition opportunities to supplement our organic growth. We believe there is a significant manufacturing cost advantage compared with the West and our long-term plan is to enter markets beyond India. We look forward to a rewarding experience at the EMO."

Premier's core strength lies in its design and development capability and strong focus on innovation. Its design centre boasts of one of the most advanced R&D facilities in India with a team of more than 50 talented design engineers. This division occupies nearly 200,000 sq.ft of shed space and employs close to 800 people, including nearly 200 engineers.
