Praj Industries (Praj), a bio energy process solutions provider, has recently awarded with the Golden Peacock Eco-Innovation Award, 2019 in the engineering sector. This award recognises enfinity, a second-generation biomass to bioethanol technology, enfinity developed by Praj Industries.

This year, the awards secretariat received 550 applications of which 312 were shortlisted through a three-tier assessment process. The highest scoring applicants were assessed on an exhaustive set of parameters in their respective industrial sectors and adjudged winners. The jury comprised environment, health & safety, energy and climate change experts, under the chairmanship of Dr Arijit Pasayat, former Judge, Supreme Court of India.

Based on the successful technology demonstration and due diligence, four oil-marketing companies have selected Praj as a technology licensor and EPCM (engineering, procurement, construction management) provider to build commercial scale plants in different parts of India.

The Golden Peacock Awards is established by the Institute of Directors, India in 1991, recognises globally competitive approaches and new benchmarks in environment management, eco-innovation and energy efficiency among others.
