Braunschweig, 21 March 2013 - Robots, which automatically pick components and assemble them in vehicles? It is already real in modern production. One basic requirement: The sensitive components as for example car doors or tailgates have to be positioned very exactly to enable the robot an easy taking. To guarantee smooth production it is absolutely necessary that carriers under construction are measured and assembled accurately to the millimeter.

The solution: AICON's optical measuring system MoveInspect HR and the hand-held MI.Probe. MoveInspect HR precisely, reliably, and quickly measures these carriers, many times in size of more than four meters. With common measuring arms, measurement of such large objects is very time-consuming and a source of error, as the arms has to be repositioned during the procedure. MoveInspect has already proved itself very successfully on production floor. Dirt, dust, vibrations? It doesn't matter: MoveInspect works with constant process reliability. The measurement only requires short time; less missing parts are produced - all in all very cost-effective.

MoveInspect HR is a highly precise, versatile measuring system either for mobile or fixed application. In mobile use the carrier is measured on site with MI.Probe. In static use the system is integrated in a measuring unit. Both applications compare the relevant points with the nominal data. Possible misalignments are signalized and can directly be adjusted online.

As modular and extendable system, MoveInspect is also applicable for further measuring tasks. AICON will showcase the MoveInspect System on this year's Control show in Stuttgart/Germany, hall 5, booth 5207 (May 14-17, 2013).
