Witten (Germany), January 2014 - For leak testing of packaging, there are a variety of different methods. But which technology fits to which kind of packaging? The new website www.leak-master.net from the gas technology expert WITT explains Pros and Cons of different methods and supports in choosing a suitable testing system.
Even with greatest care during the process design inaccurately packed goods can hardly be avoided by 100%. Leaky packages can endanger the product quality. For example for food leaks can lead to nutrient loss and loss of flavour, taste, texture or colour or to spoilage by pathogenic microorganisms. More and more companies have identified the importance of leak detection for the quality assurance of their products.
Leak-master.net now offers a guideline to choose a suitable solution. The new website explains possible reasons for leaks, shows why leak testing can be a competitive advantage and gives an overview on the most common testing methods: from the bubble test to test gases; and what are the Pros and Cons, which methods are suitable for which kind of package, what solutions are available.
