Mr R K Srivastava, Director, Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), a global fluid management company, was conferred with 'Outstanding achievement in Energy Conservation' award at the prestigious Oceantex 2012, Leadership and Excellence Awards. The function was presided by honorable Governor of Maharashtra, Shri. Kateekal Sankaranarayanan on 8th of February 2012 at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.

Also present at the occasion were Mr Jasu Shah, Chairman, ChemTech foundation, Mr. Michael Pinto, Former Secretary, Govt of India Ministry of Shipping, Mr S K Hajara, Chairman, Shipping Corporation of India Ltd and Mr Sudhir Vasudeva, CMD, ONGC.

Oceantex 2012, was the 5th edition of international exhibition and conferences showcasing India's potential in Hydrocarbon sector.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr R K Srivastava said, "The need of the Oil and Gas sector is safe, reliable and energy efficient technology that will explore new horizons in the field of Fire-fighting. For achieving the same it is essential that we implement futuristic and progressive technologies in the Oil and Gas Sector. At KBL, we focus on manufacturing and supplying safe, reliable and energy efficient products which are supported by a strong backbone of research and development facilities."

He also appealed the Oil Industry Safety Directorate (OISD) to consider innovative products and processes like FM approved and UL listed fire-fighting pump packages and Lowest Lifecycle Pumps while framing rules for oil refineries in India for ensuring safety and reliability.

While receiving the award, Mr Srivastava expressed his gratitude to Mr. Sanjay Kirloskar, Chairman and Managing Director, Kirloskar Brothers Limited for providing him the opportunity to serve the pump industry in the area of fluid machinery and fluid power.
