Moxa and D-Link collaborate to win smart city projects

Moxa – a leading provider of industrial networking, computing, and automation solutions for enabling the Industrial Internet of Things, and D-Link – a global leader in connectivity for small, medium and large enterprise business networking, have teamed up together to win smart city projects in India. This was announced during the 2nd Smart City Expo held at New Delhi recently. The two companies would concentrate on projects in city surveillance, smart grid, smart transportation, etc.

With over 25 years of industry experience, Moxa has connected more than 30 million devices worldwide and has a distribution and service network that reaches customers in more than 70 countries. Moxa delivers lasting business value by empowering industry with reliable networks and sincere service for industrial communications infrastructures.

D-Link's products are geared towards the networking and communications market. Its business products include switches, surveillance network cameras, firewalls, iSCSI SANs and business wireless, while consumer products cover consumer wireless devices, broadband devices, and the digital home devices (which include media players, storage, and surveillance camera/NVR)

D-Link and Moxa are well-established organisations with industry experience and technology expertise in their respective domains to offer networking and industrial solutions. Jointly, companies aim to address to the opportunities in this smart city projects and are strongly placed to support national initiatives such as digital india and smart cities.

Moxa’s strength and existing success in various vertical markets in India, including solar power, smart grid, railway, metro, and CCTV surveillance systems, will certainly enhance the company’s value proposition for smart cities mission proposals.

India’s 100 Smart Cities mission announced by the government of which 20 cities are now shortlisted for the mega initiative envisages an investment of Rs 50,802 crore over a period of five years through a public-private-partnership (PPP) model.
