Massimo Carboniero, an entrepreneur from Veneto, is the new President of UCIMU-Sistemi Per Produrre, the Italian machine tools, robots and automation systems Manufacturers' Association. The Members' Meeting, gathered in private session, elected him to lead the association for the two-year period 2016-2017.

Appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of UCIMU-Sistemi Per Produrre in 2004, he has been Vice-President from September 2008 to June 2016, until the election during the last week of June.

General Manager and co-owner of OMERA, a company with head office in Chiuppano (Vicenza), leader in the manufacturing sector of metal forming machine tools, Massimo Carboniero has been active in the world of associations for a long time, not only within UCIMU-Sistemi Per Produrre.

He is currently President of the Mechanics, Metallurgy and Electronics Department of Confindustria Vicenza; he is also a member of the General Council of National Confindustria and of the National Executive Committee of Federmeccanica. Moreover, he is a member of the Italian delegation of CECIMO, the European Association of the Machine Tool Industries.
